EQUITONE [tectiva] TE10 approx 12,000 sq ft

The Opal is a new senior care home facility located conveniently at the Cambie Village area in Vancouver.  The new “aging-in-place” residency consists of three connecting structures with one 6 storey building and two buildings at 4 stories.  EQUITONE [tectiva] is used throughout all the buildings in large scale format panels using the principles of the S2 Design Guide and colour matched stainless steel rivets.  With a little over 12,000 sq ft required on the project, Norr Architects Planners Inc. used the subtle texture of the sanded finish in EQUITONE [tectiva] to compliment the vision glass in the buildings.  The material was not only chosen for the appearance, but also for the durability and longevity.  Especially important considering these facilities take care of our parents.  Midland Exteriors provided a great on site installation in an area that is really blossoming as an ideal place to live.
